Eleni Foureira
Eleni Foureira is a Greek singer, dancer, actress and fashion designer born in Albania. She began her music career as part of the girl group Mystique until its disbandment in 2009 and then signed a solo contract, releasing her debut album in 2010.
She had made several attempts to represent Greece at Eurovision, taking part in the national finals in 2010 and 2013. She showed interest in participating in the contest in 2016 and 2017, but was rejected both times by the Greek national broadcaster.
On 25 January 2018, it was announced that Eleni would represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon with the song Fuego, after she had been rejected once again by the Greek broadcaster as they were searching for a more ethnic sound. She finished in 2nd place, giving Cyprus its best result in the contest to date.
In the 2019 Contest, she participated in the "Switch Song" interval act in the grand final, covering Dancing Lasha Tumbai by Verka Serduchka
