OUR HISTORY
Officially, Unsheltered International was formed in January of when the Leadership of Temple Baptist Church in Cullman, AL unanimously voted to allow us to form beneath the umbrella of the church.
For about a year prior to the formation of Unsheltered International, Travis Sharpe, Tim Barbee, their families, and a few others worked as a team ministering to the homeless in Birmingham.
The program was to get started with the help of Temple Baptist Church and then, when possible, incorporate and become tax exempt.
Our new ministry grew rapidly with opportunities to minister not only in Birmingham but in other cities and states as well.
In the Spring of , we incorporated in the state of Alabama. In September of we were granted our (c)(3) charity ställning eller tillstånd by the IRS.
Our headquarters is in Cullman, AL and we are privileged to have a great ongoing relationship with Temple Baptist Church and Pastor Malcolm Carter II.

I am the lead pastor here at Temple Baptist Church. I was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida, where I gave my life to Christ at a young age and surrendered the call to preach at 17 years old. After graduating from Victory Baptist Bible College, I began pastoring a church in South Carolina. In , I received a call inviting me to be a fill-in for a church in Cullman, Alabama. I was asked to stay full-time and have been at Temple ever since. I also serve on the board of directors for the Timothy Initiative. I travel nationwide, teaching Christians how to share their story and make disciples through DMD (disciples making disciples).
My wife Tammy and I, have been married for almost 30 years. We have four daughters: Jordan (Austin) Whisnant, Rebecca (Shawn) Dehart, Brandie (Clay) Morrison, and Mackenzie Carter. We have four grandchildren: Carter, Peter, Emory, and Maisie
