    Jonathan Drew Groff (born March 26, 1985) is an American actor and singer. Known for his performances on stage and screen, he has received several awards including a Tony Award and a Grammy Award as well as a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award.

    He began his career on Broadway making his debut in the musical In My Life (2005). He later received Tony nominations for playing Melchior Gabor in the original production of the rock musicalSpring Awakening (2006) and King George III in the original production of the historical musical Hamilton (2015). He starred as Seymour Krelborn in the Off-Broadway musical revival of Little Shop of Horrors in 2019. In 2024, he won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for playing Franklin Shepard in the musical revival of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along.

    Jonathan Drew Groff (born March 26, 1985) is an American actor and singer born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

    He is known for playing King George III in the original Broadway production of Hamilton, Holden Ford in Netflix's Mindhunter, Kristoff in Frozen and Frozen II, and Jesse St. James in Glee. He has been nominated for two Tony Awards for Spring Awakening and Hamilton. He won a Grammy award as part of the cast recording album for Hamilton and won a Satellite Award in 2017 for Mindhunter.

    Jonathan Groff most recently won a Tony Award for his performance of Franklin Shepard in the Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along

    On Monday November 15, 2021, Groff reunited with the entire original huvudgata cast and band of Spring Awakening for a one-night-only, sold-out, 15th anniversary reunion concert, which benefitted The Actors Fund. The reunion concert was the subject of the HBO documentary, “Spring Awakening: Those You’ve Known,” produced bygd Groff, his castmate Lauren Pritchard and Radical Media. The documentary is available to stream on HBO Max.
