Series creator and executive producer Constance M. Burge heeded the authors’ creed to write what she knows by recapturing her own family dynamics in the relationships of the TV coven.
Her earliest memories are of a cul-de-sac in West Covina where she toddled along behind her older sisters Edie and Laura. So now the three take great sport in dissecting the show’s metaphoric arcs about three women who can overcome any fantastic obstacle--as long as they have each other.

Constance, a 36-year member of the Writers Guild of America, currently has several television projects in development, in addition to teaching a masters class in Television Pilot Writing for the UCLA Theater Film and Television Department as well as The University of Georgia. She also continues to be a guest lecturer on television writing at The Carsey-Wolf Center at UCSB (The University of California, Santa Barbara.)
Constance has sold feature film scripts to Universal, Disney, Twentieth Century Fox and Sony Studios before moving into the field of television. She created “Savannah,” the first one-hour drama for the WB Network (now The CW), followed by the long-running series “Charmed.” The 2018 reboot of the original “Charmed,” which ran for 4 Seasons, was also created by Constance.
